February has been and gone, and it's only as I write this post that I realise that I missed February favourites! My birthday has been and now I'm working on my last few weeks of my second year of university. That has literally flown by but I'm proud to say, so far I'm working towards at least a 2:1 for this year, which is a huge improvement from last year which makes me very happy.
I've been ill for most of this month which has been a real downer on the month, and really dragged me down. But I will remain optimistic, as there are some real gems that I've been loving over February and March collectively.
The Benefit Box Of Blushers tin I received for Christmas has been my FAVOURITE item recently, I feel like I have every colour I could possibly need to compliment every look. I feel these blushers are so complimentary and have been perfect in giving me a glow even when my skin is looking less than bright!
As always I've been loving using my everyday foundation which is the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation, for a drugstore find this is one of my favourites. I very rarely like drugstore foundations but this one suits my combination skin well. It doesn't last as long as I'd like sometimes but for a quick and easy every day wear it works. At under a tenner this is great for girls like myself that are after something comfortable and suitable for work or school. ASOS currently sell for this for £10! Bargain! [LINK]
For eyes, the Maybelline eye drama kohl liner pencil [LINK] and Benefit They're Real mascara [LINK] (only £16.50 on QVC) are my trusty go to! Dark smoldering eyeliner pencil and thick long false looking lashes are my favourite and these work so well together. Simple to say but just a great selection for anyone after either eyeliner or mascara!
I think a special applause is needed for one special favourite, I finally got round to trying REAL TECHNIQUES! (queue a cheer from the readers) After a deal between me and my boyfriend that if I bought a new mattress with an amazon voucher I had, then he would return the favour and buy me a set of Real Techniques. (We've got a good thing going on here haha) I bought the Core Collection kit as my first kit to try. So far I'm impressed, I mainly use the buffing brush as my foundation brush which provides a sheer to medium finish for my foundation but also blends everything nicely together. I'd love to try a few more face brushes especially the Bold Metal set next. The kit was from Amazon at only £16.99 [LINK] which is cheaper than the shops and a great way to try a selection of brushes rather than just one.
For nails I've again loved a Bourjois beauty, the So Laque Glossy Nail Polish in 14, Pamplemousse is a colour I repeatedly choose. Its a very 'me' colour and compliments lots of outfits especially in spring. The polish consistency and brush are really easy to use and I feel like it's possibly the perfect colour! I layer this with a brush of Seche Vite top coat, I bought this a few months ago after a lot of blogger loving and am so impressed, I love the shine and longevity it provides. For only £5.50 this is a must in any nail kit! [LINK]
