What a month June has been, I’ve been in and out of the country, have got over a holiday illness, worked and survived this heatwave! After my holiday to Crete I’ve been so glad to be using those trusty ‘after holiday’ products and here they are!
Garnier Summerbody in deep is the one product you’ll see me mention every year, I think it is THE gradual tanner that the world should be using. I have been using this for years myself and never had a bad experience with it. I use the deep formula as it makes the results appear quicker so I don’t have to bother with it everyday. This apricot lotion applies evenly and quickly and creates a deep dark colour – perfect for after a summer holiday when you’re tanned but you want it to last! It doesn’t look scarily fake either so when you see this on half price stock up!
Just before my holiday I got the Latest in Beauty Glamour Summer Edit box, it contained the best selling Eucerin Sun Fluid for Norm-Comb skin in SPF 50. This stuff is amazing – it completely transformed my opinion on sun lotion for the face, this stuff mattifies and dries quickly, provides long lasting protection and is easy to use. I love that it feels so silky and mattifying as it doesn’t give that sticky sun lotion feel to it. I’ve been using this every day now, even on English weather days as it just feels lovely to wear and to keep myself protected. Would recommend a 100 times over! This is only £12 at Boots too! [LINK]
My two makeup favourites have been very holiday-esque too – the trusty Benefit You Rebel tinted moisturiser in Original (which I heard has been discontinued boo) has been my favourite for years. This dark tinted moisturiser is my summer go to as it’s the only base I have that’s not in the lightest shade possible. It matches my neck and face together but also provides a light coverage. It doesn’t cover everything but it creates a light base to work with – plus with a SPF15 its great for the sun.
My newest purchase is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer, I was desperate to restock the Collection concealer but NO-WHERE was selling my shade, and it was annoying me. So on a Tesco trip, I saw this on offer and gave it a go. Ok, so it’s no match on the Collection concealer but it creates a creamy under eye concealer and doesn’t crease – for only £2.50 I believe it was, this has been a favourite simply because it’s worked!
The last two products are sweet and simple. Invisibobbles are great for keeping kinks and knots out of tying you hair up. They are only a couple of pounds for three and they seem to be easier to keep track of compared to normal ties. These are great for thin hair too as they give texture to a pony tail rather than keep it flat.
Nip and Fab are a brand I will be talking about in a bit more detail soon, but their Glycolic Fix Cleanser is amazing. I have been trying to get my skincare routine down to a match so I can finally perfect my skin and this was on offer at boots. Caroline Hirons has said a lot about glycolic’s and acids and this seemed the right match for me. I’ve seen improvements in the radience and pore size on my skin so will be reviewing this in greater detail soon!
