Post acne-teen years are in full force and my scars bother me more than ever, I felt it was time to step up my skincare routine and get some acids on my face! Eek, I hear you cry - yes I was a little worried too. After reading Caroline Hirons blog, she fully supported exfoliating acids to help fix scarred non radiant skin and seeing Nip and Fab on offer on Boots.com I found my calling.
Nip and Fab are quite well known for their celebrity endorsers such as Kylie Jenner. Even Lindsay Lohan has been raving about the brand! I decided to try the Glycolic Fix range which helps to gently exfoliate the skin and reveal younger-looking skin.
The first product I use now in my skincare routine is the Cleansing Fix, this deep cleansing liquid cleanser is one of the nicest face washes I've used in years. Gone are the days of scary liquid soaps such as clean and clear and Clinique's liquid soap. This cleanser reveals clean and radiant skin with 2% of the acid. It contains apple amino acid to cleanse and olive oil to hydrate the skin. I've found this lathers really gently to create a light foam that can be easily rubbed into the skin and washed off with a face cloth.
I tend to use this on either no makeup days or light makeup. I prefer to use my Cleanse and Polish to remove my makeup as it is a lot softer and gentler to do so. This is also perfect for the morning or in the shower. It smells of a grapefruit citrus scent that is nice and refreshing but again not too strong or potent. You can buy this on boots with a third off at only £5.30 which is a complete bargain! [LINK]
The real show stopper is the Exfoliating Facial Pads, in this tub you get 60 pads soaked in the glycolic acid and witch hazel which helps tone. There is also blue daisy in these pads which is what smooths and brightens the skin. I've seen huge differences in my skin texture and radiance since using these. I was hoping to try the Pixi Glow Tonic but doubt I will try it anytime soon after getting these. These are easy to use and don't sting or hurt the face or eyes. They are taking out the dry patches I get on my forehead and nose and allow my makeup to sit nicely and blend perfectly. I think these are slowly reducing my pore size and allowing my skin to really become bright. These are only £12.99 normally or £8.66 at the moment with a 1/3 off. You can find these here. [LINK]
I couldn't recommend these anymore - I really suggest trying these if you're looking to give some brightness to your face and perfecting the skin surface.
