There are some trends that just seem to be impossible to obtain - strobing, 'on fleek' brows, contouring like a Kardashian just to name a few. I am not a makeup artist and I recently tried to just do my makeup as effortlessly as I could. Sometimes trying to achieve a look step by step is harder due to the fact my skin type, techniques, brushes and often my products just do not compare. However we're not at a loss, there are some products I instantly turn to for fool-proof looks that just work everytime!
Sleek's Contour Kit. This is such a classic, I can't think of a beauty blogger that doesn't own it or at least hasn't heard of it. This powder duo has a gorgeous and versatile contour powder and a perfect highlight that creates the very on trend contour look. Everyone wants to be a Kardashian now and it seemed contouring has always stayed on trend, for under £10 this Superdrug bargain is a creamy powder that can be easily blended for contouring. Even on my winter pale skin this looks effortless!
Rimmel Lasting Perfection Concealer. Concealer is a tricky thing, I only have ever liked three concealers in my 8 years of wearing makeup. This is one of the three. Although this is a REALLY thick concealer and is quite dry at first, its heavy duty and lasts really well. It's good for those pesky dark bag under the eye days and really brightens up the whole area. It blends well, it does have a bit of a habit of creasing if not blended well but if you're having a bad circle day, invest in this!
Benefit Dandelion Blush. Benefit's blushers and their Hoola bronzer are my FAVOURITES. Hands down favourites, Dandelion is one product I would recommend to any blush newbie or anyone after the best everyday shade. For blondie girls or anyone after a light pink to compliment skin tones this is the perfect colour. Although expensive this blush lasts well on the skin and has a creamy texture so doesn't crumble either therefore lasting much longer than cheaper blushers!
Eessence Make Me Brow This affordable dupe to Benefit's Gimmie Brow isn't a like for like but it keeps being on trend at a budget. I will never tell you it's on fleek because that's a disgusting phrase, but this sets your brows in place and creates definition without much effort at all. For only £2.50 this little bottle allows you to treat yourself to a trend without breaking the bank!
Bourjois One Seconde Mascara in Ultra Black This mascara is amazing - hands down one of the best. It is so thickening, lengthening and black, I think this is a real contender for a heavy duty mascara and produces thick and glamorous lashes. Although I find talking about mascara really difficult, just try it. It will make mascara a breeze and so effortless for big lash drama! Plus its only £10!
What makeup products do you think are on trend and keep you feeling foolproof at keeping up at trends!?
