Using makeup doesn’t mean you need to look or feel like a completely different person. You can easily use makeup to enhance your best features and make you feel naturally beautiful. Not sure how you’d go about creating a natural makeup look? This post can help you!
Use an Illuminating Primer
An illuminating primer will help to make your skin glow underneath your foundation. Some people even wear a primer alone, as their skin is clear and smooth enough without a foundation over the top. However, you might want a little more coverage. Regardless, you should always wear a primer to act as a barrier between your skin and the elements/the rest of your makeup.
Go for a Sheer Foundation
A sheer foundation will still let some of your skin’s natural beauty shine through. You won’t cover up all of your freckles and the things that make you, you! If you’d rather have more coverage, then it’s a good idea to simply stipple on some more where you need it. Some areas might be more blemished than others, for instance. If this is the case, there’s no need to cover your face in a thick layer of foundation. Use a brush or sponge on the areas that need it most, and voila!
Blend, Blend and Blend Some More
Make sure that whatever makeup you decide to wear, you blend, blend, and blend some more. Blending is the key to getting a natural makeup look! Doing it in natural light is recommended too. You can never be too careful. Telltale lines and marks are not attractive.
Make Sure You Don’t Go OTT on Your Brows
Women have a tendency to go OTT on their brows these days. Big brows are in, but you don’t want to make your brows look too big for your face. It all depends on your face shape, your other features, and what your natural brows are like. Defining them is one thing, but they must look natural.
Curl Your Lashes
Curling your lashes will make them seem so much longer and more voluminous. You can even heat up the curler before you use it to make your lashes stay in place for longer.
Use a Shimmer in the Inner Corners of Eyes
Using a shimmer in the inner corner of your eyes will open them up, brighten them, and make you look automatically prettier. You can use gold, silver, or a colour that compliments your eyes. You’ll get taught amazing tricks like this on most makeup courses!
Keep Lips Smooth
Your lips should be smooth if you want a nice natural look, so make sure you exfoliate them and apply a lip balm regularly. Your lip balm should contain an SPF for the best results! If you want to apply a lipstick over the top, keeping the moisturised and smooth is a must.
These tips will make you feel naturally beautiful, so have fun and see which of them you like best. Do you have some tips that you’d like to share? Leave your comments below!
