THE GRANGE TOWER BRIDGE HOTEL

Last week we went into London to sort out wedding rings ready for the big day next year. As we had a few days of annual leave to use up, we decided to make a weekend of it and spend the night in London. We wanted to find a luxury hotel that had a pool for the morning, a good breakfast and a comfy room! I knew I could rely on Secret Escapes to help find one and thats where we found the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel 5*!

The Grange Tower Bridge Hotel - Tower Bridge London

The hotel deal we received as part of our package by booking through Secret Escapes we were in a Executive Double Room. This was a huge room that really surprised us by its size, its probably one of the largest UK hotel rooms we've stayed in as it gave us a huge bed but plenty of space to get ready in.

The decor of the room is really modern with simplistic greys and metallic for artwork. The bed was huge and comfortable but the one downside was the pillows, they weren't as hard as we prefer but we could of got these changed if we had been bothered.

The room felt large as we had great sofa to lounge in with a coffee table that came with some magazines, a nice touch I felt. There was a TV that also had a sound system in that you could bluetooth music too which I love in a hotel room. We had a similar set up in Edinburgh and with modern technology being readily available now, more hotels should have this feature! Great for getting ready for a night out or chilling out when you don't want to watch the same old tv!

The view was awesome as we had a view of all the buildings, some old, some super new and houses to offices. The area was really quiet and the hotel felt really quiet too despite being well booked.

The bathroom had not only a awesome shower that had a monsoon and what I can only describe as a 360 shower function but it also had a bath. Although I didn't use the bath, if I was staying for a few days or by myself I would have made use of this as it was really big and would be a really relaxing place to pamper yourself. A lot of hotels only have showers now which is great, but baths are a nice addition for chilling out!

It's worth mentioning, the bar and room service is pretty good too! We were desperate for nachos, one of our favourite snacks to get! We ordered these and made good use of our sofa and table. The cocktails and nachos were really nice and felt properly made, not in a microwave!

We chose this hotel primarily because it had a spa/pool area. The pool is so nice as it is a large 25m pool with infinity edge. It also has a sauna, steam room, foot baths and jacuzzi which we made full use of before breakfast. These were well maintained and everything was working really well! It felt like we were on holiday!

The breakfast was a buffet selection with usual cooked breakfast which was well cooked with good quality ingredients but there was also a extensive pastry selection and a proper selection of hams, charcuterie and cheeses. Not just a slice of cheddar but full slices of brie and stilton!

The hotel is only a 6 minute walk from Tower Hill station and a short walk away from the Tower of London attraction. The tube being so close means if you want a luxurious hotel in the centre of London you're only a few minutes away from Oxford Street, Liverpool Street and the West End and you'd save a lot of money by staying in this area.

We definitely think this is one of the best hotels we've stayed in within England. Although the hotel is not currently on Secret Escapes, it is often on there so make sure to sign up and then you can check for it [LINK].You can also find out more about The Tower Bridge hotel on their website here and book directly through them [LINK].
