Since we’ve now been there twice, we thought it was time to share our experience and sing it’s praises for it’s Sunday dinners. Although I can’t comment on any other food they do, their Sunday roast’s are amazingly good so I reckon the rest of the menu follows suit.
The above image is our most recent visit where we had the Sunday roast sharing platter which contained essentially ‘a bit of everything’ including lamb, pork, venison sausage and the insanely good beef.
The below image is from our first visit where we tried the beef dinner which was medium/rare lamb with all the veggie trimmings and a perfect selection of roasties and yorkshire puddings! Everything is home cooked and nothing feels like it’s come from the microwave or freezer.
The staff are really friendly, there is a bar area for grabbing a drink and they have a selection of board games if the mood takes you. We’ve always been able to grab a table but it’s worth booking on a Sunday! It’s a very quaint old school pub but it’s my favourite style of pub, nothing crazy modern and a sleepy dog by the bar keeping watch!
