When did MAC eyeshadows stop being ridiculously popular? I for one, love a MAC eyeshadow especially the little palettes they now make. After a trip to the York Designer Outlet when we stayed in York a few weeks ago, I made not one but two trips to the Cosmetic Company Outlet! I blooming love that store, discounted high end makeup is my calling. Most of the time the products are exactly the same as in store just with money off! I picked up the Amber Times Nine eyeshadow palette which is a beautiful selection of some of their best selling colours!
I chose this palette because it is the perfect everyday selection. It also has a good selection of shimmers and mattes which is ideal for me. I prefer shimmery eyeshadows most of the time. Weirdly, I keep thinking that the matte black shadow Carbon is in this palette but its not, however that’s ok with me as I already own Carbon. I like that even the black is a bit more textured and warmer.
The shadows in this palette are Cozy Grey, Kitties, Georgia Peach, Ricepaper, Creative Copper, Cork, Don’t Tell, Aromatic, Pepper Please. As you can see, some of these are matte, frost and lustre finishes. You get 0.8g each but who ever really truly finishes an eyeshadow anyway! It’s taken me YEARS to get through my personalised MAC palette.
This palette is not discontinued despite being in the outlet and retails for £26. (I think I paid around £20 in the outlet). You can get it from MAC directly here [LINK]. For nine shades, you’re looking at around £2.80 each, which is an absolute bargain for MAC! I highly recommend this palette and it’s quickly becoming my everyday choice!
