Kicking January off with a Boots sale haul is a common occurrence on my blog. During our time off after Christmas we visited Peterborough which is our nearest big town/city. Peterborough has really upped it’s game in the last few years with a big shopping centre (Queensgate) and some great restaurants too. In the Queensgate Centre there is a BIG Boots which was full of sale items in their upstairs department.
I didn’t expect there to be much left but there was a whole floor covered in sale items from food, candles and of course the beauty section. I was kindly given a Boots gift card from Dan’s dad for Christmas. It was a great present idea as it meant I could really treat myself.
Is it really the New Year if you don’t stock up on sale shower gels that will see you through to the end of the year?
I spent £39.00 for £74.00 worth of product! It was such a bargain and considering these are gift sets you save money for the amount of product you receive too!
Soap and Glory Mask Force Five
This was a set I had my eye on as soon as the Christmas gifts came into Boots. I LOVE Soap and Glory skincare and their sheet masks are pretty awesome for a treat at bath time. They have five face masks masks in this set including one of my favourites the ‘Puffy Eye Attack’ perfect for those run down days! This was £6.25 from £12.50 – a steal when these are normally £3.50-£4 each!
No7 Youthful Discovery Collection
For only £10 I have a whole selection of travel sized No7 goodies. Although I rarely use No7 in my collection, the products are timeless and some of them are real gems. I most wanted to try the Youthful Replenishing facial oil as this is a 15ml bottle which is a lot for a serum when the full size is 30ml. This set was down to £10 and felt like a great set to add to my travel bags as there’s a bit of everything in here.
Champneys Summer Dream Beauty Bag
So this might be called Champney’s Summer Dream but this was a Christmas gift. Champneys Beauty range is one of the most luxurious bath ranges from Boots in my opinion. I have loved using Champneys in the past as it makes bath time feel spa like. This bag was only £10 and contained a bubble bath, shower gel and body lotion. These retail for £10 each so this was an obvious choice to stock up on shower products for the months ahead. Makes a change from my usual bubble bath that I spend £1 or so on!
Soap and Glory The Absolute Zest
If you’re a Soap and Glory fan, you’ll know that alongside their original pink scent, there is the zesty and fruity Sugar Crush range. The Absolute Zest gift set is one of my favourites as it’s so sweet and smells like mojitos (my favourite cocktail!). This set contains a body spray, big bottle of shower gel and body cream. This would make a fabulous gift but alas, this is again for my collection! This was only £7.50!
Ted Baker Floral Aroma Perfume Set
The Ted Baker range was a lot bigger in Boots this year than previous seasons. The gift bags and selection they had was perfect for any Ted fans. Dan and I love Ted Baker, my ‘best’ dresses are Ted and I love how glamorous they make me feel. This little set was something I wanted to try as these are perfect handbag size but also perfumes I’ve never tried before. There are four 10ml fragrances in here. Whilst I have a cold and can’t smell them at the moment, I’m sure they will be great if they’re anything like the male fragrances!
I am so happy with my purchases in the sales. The Peterborough Boots had a much better selection than the stores I have visited previously. I feel like I’ve managed to get a real set of bargains and I should smell fantastic for a good few months with these in my bathroom cabinet!
What did you pick up in the sales? Any good beauty bargains left I should know about?
