Christmas may well a distant memory now but it’s full steam ahead enjoying the beauty products I received this year. Last year I showed you what I got for Christmas where I had perfumes and high end beauty galore. This year I’ve been thoroughly treated to some classic beauty products from luxury brands. I will be smelling sweet with shower products from Molton Brown and made up with my favourite brand, Benefit.
This perfume is one of my favourites. It’s not the most popular or known perfume in the world, for me it’s more about the memories behind this. I first purchased this perfume when I worked on Bond Street in London. I remember spending my first pay check on Oxford Street and picking this up. It’s a strong scent but it’s warm and spicy and just instantly reminds me of sitting on trains and living in London. Some perfumes can take you back to a location and Burberry Weekend is just that!
Molton Brown Gift Set
So this gift set was from my Mum and Dad and whilst I don’t know exactly where it’s from (my guess is QVC or the actual Molton Brown store) this set is incredible. It came with a large Rhubarb and Rose shower gel, Pear and Wild Honey Hand wash, Davana Blossom shower gel and a hand cream. This is such a lovely set as Molton Brown shower gels are so luxurious and the scent really lasts. You can’t get more British than London’s Molton Brown range.
Benefit Cosmetics Christmas Gift Set
It’s not Christmas if I don’t add a Benefit Cosmetics set to my wish list! The gift sets that Benefit brings out each year are always fantastic for stocking up on your favourite full size products for a fantastic price. In my gift set tin, it contained Hoola Bronzer, The Professional Primer, Rollerlash Mascara and High Beam liquid highlighter. These are some of my favourite products from Benefit so I’ve got really lucky stocking up on them. I needed to replace my very old Hoola bronzer as I use it everyday so I am loving using a fresh one.
Real Techniques Party Hopper Brush Set
Whilst this set is no longer available, this was one brush set I needed to get my hands on. I use Real Techniques everyday so some of my brushes need replacing. Whilst this kit has some of the core pieces in it, I’m also able to try some new brushes! This has 11 items in the set including two beauty blender sponges which I’m still yet to figure out how best to use them. Any tips for beauty sponges send my way please. This set was a real bargain and Sam and Nic Chapman have honestly made the best product to come out of Youtube. These are affordable, luxurious and effective for makeup application.
So that’s just some of the beauty bits I got for Christmas 2018. I did get some Sanctuary Spa bits from my Grandma which are always a winner for bath time too. One of my other main presents that wasn’t beauty based was a SMEG kitchen mixer which I have to say, has transformed how I bake! I’m such a housewife now haha!
